A gorgeous bend of wood and stone make up this beautiful backyard retreat. The wood burning fireplace creates a nice comfortable feel year round while the glass walls and skylights let natural light pour in. With the trees so close, you get the sense that your a part of the forest.

EURO-COTTAGE
This German style cottage is something you would find nestled in the trees of an old forest. The old world details, heavy stone, and rustic timbers give this home a truly authentic feel. The steep ravine on the back side of the lot is home to a massive wetland and towering birch trees. The views were too good to ignore so we pushed the home back toward the trees and lined the walls with floor to ceiling windows.
MODERN MEETS RUSTIC
This beautiful custom home sits atop a deep ravine overlooking the picturesque Oak Ridge Country Club in Minnetonka, MN. White-stained rustic alder and reclaimed clay brick meet subway tile and glass in this fun blend of new and old.
BACKYARD RETREAT
For centuries, Minnesotans have been waging war against our most hated enemy. No, not the packer fan, the Mosquito. As the warm, sun-filled sky gives way to the approaching twilight, you hear it. The distinct buzz. The preamble before the bite. The sound of a million terrible creatures waiting to steal not just your blood, but your peace and sanity.
"Enough is enough", they said. "Build us a shelter we can retreat to when the forces against us are overwhelming." So we did, and we did it in style.
ORGANIC MODERN
Just five short years after the American Civil War, Stone Masons carefully crafted this one of a kind Carriage House. The narrow cobblestone approach and steep grade made turning horse drawn carriages nearly impossible. The solution was to build a wood and metal turnstile in the center of the structure that could easily spin a carriage around for its return up to Summit Avenue.
CASA ROSA
City living just got an upgrade. We took this 1920's Mediterranean rambler and turned it into a Modern Cottage with an amazing open floor plan. The simple details give a minimalistic vibe while the rustic elements tie it back to its origins in Minikahda Vista. Our hope was to design a home that fit the existing foundation but didn't feel cramped or tight.

RIVER BLUFF TIMBER
Somewhere in Central Minnesota a small town makes way for a winding old river. Steep bluffs etch its course and reach upward toward a beautiful blue sky. And there, overlooking it all, rests a house with deep roots.
This one-of-a-kind cottage, made from stone and wood is simple, yet elegant. Bold, yet gracious. Raw, yet refined. A home that will truly stand the test of time.
FRENCH COUNTRY STYLE
We had one requirement; make the home blend into the beauty and architecture of Interlachen Park. This cottage style home is still one of our very favorites. The sweeping rooflines, the beautiful blend of materials, and elongated wing walls remind me why we do what we do.
COTTAGE MAKEOVER
This large single story home in Blaine, MN had space to spare. The only problems were the walls dividing it. Our mission was simple, carrying it out was a little more difficult. We wanted to do three things; remove all of the dividing walls to open up the flow, bring in more natural light, and increase the amount of useable kitchen space. The first task was simple. A few hours of hacking and smashing and the walls were gone.

In Southern Minnesota, there lies an age old valley. Its borders protected and defined by crumbling limestone bluffs. Overlooking its sweeping grassy meadows and towering trees stands a quiet, but firm shelter. Its glassy openings frame the passing clouds and the dancing green of the valley floor.

Authenticity and beauty abound in this stunning Wayzata remodel. The highly detailed cabinetry, moss covered stone, and creative layout make this kitchen remodel one of our favorites. In a world filled with white enameled kitchens, its nice to stand out a little.
